A Mesage from our Pastor

A New Beginning

A NEW BEGINNING

Ex 12:1 ¶ And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,
Ex 12:2 This month [shall be] unto you the beginning of months: it [shall be] the first month of the year to you.

As I reflected on the heart of Israel as they come to this monumental moment in time, there had to be so many thoughts and feelings running through there hearts and minds. Entering into this position of complete dependance upon God was something that would change them forever.

As i reflect upon this I am reminded of when i personally entered into the throne room of grace and accepted Christ into my life as my personal Saviour. That day is as real today as though it happened yesterday. April 27 1980, the last Sunday night of of that month marked a new Beginning for me. A time to be set free from my sinful religious bondage. To be set free from the bondage of attempting to earn my acceptance with God through all my own doings. This is a day that is etched into my heart that God accepted me without any demands but to simply receive a gift he purchased for me personally. OH that all the world could come to experience this new beginning.
I wonder if by way of testimony how many could share the moment they came to this new Beginning in there life. God took some extreme measureS to reach out to Israel as a nation and I know it was a process of several years for God to bring me to a place of accepting His gift for me.
Maybe some one will read this devotional this morning and you are on that journey. God is bringing you to a place of a new beginning in Christ, You have lots of questions or reservations about letting God into your heart. Questions about where it will take you? You will never go wrong in letting Christ be your Saviour.

Remember that the wages of sin is death, Jesus died in your place so that you might go free.
Romans 6:23
“23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Remember he so loved you that he gave you this gift to receive.
John 3:16
“16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Remember that you can not earn a gift it must be accepted without payment for it to be a gift.
Romans 4:4, 5
“4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.”

This is where I stumbled for years, I so desperately wanted to give God something for my salvation only to fail at every attempt i made. Please do not stumble as I did and never accept because you can not see your need to receive it with out charge.
Remember it cost God his son so it certainly is not free.

Remember all we need to do to receive this great gift is to reach out and take it by faith. Simply let him forgive your sin and set you free from it. God does not save us from sin to leave us in the mire of it, but to give us a freedom form it.
Romans 10:9, 10
“9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

Will you confess Christ as your Saviour today?
Maybe Christian you would take a moment and share how God brought you to this saving faith in Christ. Some one just may read it and God could take that testimony to bring clarity to a heart to accept hm as Saviour.

The testimony God used for me was this:
Wouldn’t it be a shame to preach the gospel all of your life and then die and never receive it.
That was me in a nut shell Preaching something I had never received. Do not end up in hell from you church pew or religious upbringing. Accept Christ alone as the penalty that need to be paid for your sin.

Will you receive him?

If you have received him could I ask you to consider sharing you testimony with us today.
Remember some one like me might be reading and come to meet the Saviour because of it.

Lets share the saving faith of our Lord Jesus Christ.
