  • Are you one of these churches that preaches God but judges others? That’s the only kind of Baptist Church I am familiar with. Are you a Southern Baptist Church? What would your answer be if someone asks you where God lives?

  • Hello Kate
Thank you for your questions. The Bible tells us we are to teach and preach Jesus Christ. This means we are to preach the same message he did.
That message is that God Loves us and wants to save us from our sin. Some may consider this message judgemental but really it is God loving us enough to reveal to us our need and then providing for that need. I am pasting a few scriptures to consider. I have no right to stand in judgement of anyone. God is the only one that can pass true judgement on any one because he is the only one that really has all the facts to make a proper judgement.

Act 5:42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.
    John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

We are and independent Baptist church wich simply means we are not affiliated with any particular convention of churches but each church operates independently though we may copereate together for the purpose of spreading the gospel message.

As far as where God lives, I will let the bible answer that question for you. I am pasting some scripture for you to consider.
Psa 45:6 Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.

Psa 47:8 God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness.

Isa 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

Mat 23:22 And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon.
    Act 2:30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

Heb 1:8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

From these verses we can see that God has a throne that is decided as being in the heavens.

Spiritually speaking we often tal about inviting Jesus to live in our hearts this comes from scriptures like Revelation 3:20
Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

He is actually speaking to the church here asking them to open the door to him so he can come in and fellowship with him.

When we understand our need to be forgiven for our sin by God and we ask him to forgive us the bible says he will give us of his Spirit and in that sense the Holy Sprit go God takes up residence and lives in each child of God.

Luk 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Joh 7:39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

Act 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

I hope this answers your questions. If i can be of further assitasnce please let me know. We would love to have you come out and check out one of our church services if you are in our area some time.
