Just as a beacon can be a signal, a radio transmitter producing a navigation signal, it is the desire of Beacon Baptist Church to be a transmitter of God’s Holy Word in our community. It is His Word that reveals the true purpose for our lives.

A beacon can also be a flare, a warning signal. The church must provide a signal of warning to those who may spiritually be in harm’s way. God’s flare, the Word of God, and the heeding to it will avoid many shipwrecks in the storms of our lives.

A source of inspiration is another meaning to the word “beacon.” We hope to inspire others to consider beginning their own personal relationship with Him

Perhaps you remember the account of the disciples in a boat with Jesus and how great winds and waves came up, so much so they were afraid for their lives as He slept. They woke him and Jesus simply raised his arm, spoke the words “Peace, be still,” and the wind and waves obeyed. We can then be encouraged not to be afraid in our storms, but to recognize that He is still there and can conquer any storm. We are not alone.

Our desire for you is that you too would come to know this same Jesus in a very personal way. We are willing to answer any questions you may have regarding your spiritual walk or about Beacon Baptist Church itself.
